4th Unit Rangers was in charge of Bird Watching and we represented the Malaysian Nature Society during the Mini Tourism Carnival in school. Yes, bird watching where people watch birds. I am an environmentalist but I have to say it was the most boring booth of the day. The booth had all the information about birds and the Malaysian Nature Society members actually brought along a DVD about birds. If anybody out there have insomnia, I strongly recommend you to watch that DVD. It takes about 5 minutes max. to put you to sleep. Achievement of the day? We sold a book which costs RM45 to Mr Lau who bought it after some convincing and gave away approximately 5 membership forms to those who were genuinely interested in birds. Come to think of it, most of the members of the Malaysian Nature Society are teachers and from what I saw, single. I'm afraid the chances of me joining them over the years are pretty high. Not because I would like to be a teacher but I might be a bitter old woman and somehow developed a liking towards birds.
Touch wood.
