Of Open Houses and Politicians.

Curse the bugger who bang-ed the cable post in front of my house. Seriously, of all houses why must it be mine? Thank God I can finally online now.

Recently went to a lot of open houses. Trust me, I can never get enough of Indian food. Its just so yummay! ! I went to my dad's friend's open house and boy, the food was like heaven. Heaven I tell yah! So I was so busy with the food that I did not notice that Anne, the German exchange student was there as well. I didn't know she was staying with Uncle Kula. That was not the only surprising thing for the night. While I was indulging myself with the OMG-So-Tasty food, suddenly a man was walking down the porch shaking everybody's hand. As usual, being myself, I paid full attention on the food and when he finally reached my place, I looked up to shake his hands and TADA~ Lim Kit Siang standing in front of me. Fuiyo. Its not everyday you get to see him. Hahaa.

The best open house? Pavi's. Hands down. It may not be a big house with fancy furniture and a huge compound. It may not have the most and best tasting food. It may not have the big shots and VIP attending her open house. It may not have fire-crackers. But it was the best open house. Why? Her grandmother cooked all the food on the table instead of catering. She made me feel so at home just like it was my house. She offered us cookies and murukus. She apologised for not making rasam for me when I was just joking. It was just her family and her friends. Isn't that the whole point of having a open house? To spend quality time and to do something for your relatives and friends that is from the heart? Thanks so much, Pavi! Oh, and I must admit, Chandra Gupti is a very interesting woman.
